Development scheme: Affordable houses needed, says Durrani

ISLAMABAD: Transparency and meritocracy will be ensured in the prime minister’s low-cost housing scheme, Housing and Works Minister for Akram Khan Durrani said on Friday. He was chairing a meeting of the core group of the scheme. “Under this scheme, the construction of 500,000 houses will overcome a housing shortfall,” the minister said. He lauded the provincial government’s willingness to offer their land for the scheme and stated such cooperation is needed to accomplish this gigantic task.
