Preserving heritage: Museum problems to be addressed

KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has assured the administration of the Quaid-i-Azam House Museum that its problems will be addressed. During his visit of the museum on Tuesday, he said that the building holds immense historical importance as it belonged to the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, and his sister, Fatima Jinnah. Museum in-charge Nahid Zehra told the commissioner about the lack of civic facilities in the building, adding that they were facing problems of water shortage, irregular supply of electricity and lack of municipal facilities. The commissioner directed Civil Lines assistant commissioner to coordinate with the civic bodies to resolve the problems being faced by the museum.
