Solar park: To produce electricity by year-end

Federal Minister says energy sector is strongly connected with the economy

BAHAWALPUR: Project director Abdul Jabbar said that the Quaid-i-Azam Solar Energy Park will start producing 100MW electricity at the end of this year. Jabbar said that the park is being constructed on 10,000 acres land and will be able to cater to the energy needs of the country as well as the Bahawalpur. Boundary wall of the park is under construction while a 10-kilometre lengthy road to the park has been completed, he added. On the occasion, the Federal Minister said that energy sector is strongly connected with the economy and due to special attention of the government, the energy crisis has been mitigated. He said after the completion of ongoing energy projects load-shedding will come to an end.
