In his press conference, Khan reiterated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government should have informed the K-P government before starting the operation in North Waziristan so it could to adequately prepare for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
He said that 350,000 people have fled North Waziristan and the number is expected to double. "However, Bannu and other areas that people are fleeing to are not adequately prepared to accommodate them," the PTI chief added.
He said the operation must be put on hold to facilitate civilians and that the government’s allocation of Rs7,000 a month for the families is not enough.
Khan also asked the federal government to meet the provincial government to discuss IDPs and the security situation.
Demanding an increase in security in major cities across the country, Khan said that the government should prepare itself for reprisal from the militants.
"It is unfair to arrest Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to resign immediately over Lahore clashes," he added.

Govt. in KPK is in real challenge, KPK being the province of hosting large no. of Afghan refugees already and now IDPs with very less resources...IK please do some fund raising i promise to contribute at least Rs. 1,000 even though i am not PTI supporter. But as per our party mantra Pakistan comes first...so we are there to help KPK govt. to go through this phase i hope after this KPK can progress at your expected pace.

The largest IDP camps are in FR Bannu, which is FATA and not KPK. Why should KPK get additional funds?

Its not the job of army to do the rehabilitation as well. KPK govt. is capable enough to do this. So keep your political hatered aside and think about the difficulty those ppl are facing.

Imran Khan may be an honest man but you need a great deal more than that to be a leader. His backflips are almost legendary. He lets his personal enmity or friendship come in the way of what is good for the nation. I don't think he will ever be a wise leader. He just does not possess that quality that sets apart ordinary leaders from great ones.

Imran Khan's mind is blocked. One day he asks for resignation of Punjab Chief Minister, next he asks for Prime Minister resignation. One day he ask the army to stop operation, next day he asks for five billion for IDPs.

NY Times, BBC, CNN are all crying that people are stuck and they need immediate help. We all support our Army. But we need to help these IDPs as well as they are also Pakistani citizens ...
