Movies and events to look out for

Edge of tomorrow, Hum shakals, Laakhon mein teen and Tamanna, a must watch.

Edge of Tommorow:



 

The Tom Cruise starring Sci Fi thriller has had a great start on the box office and the cinema houses in Pakistan have been getting close to housefuls especially on the weekends. Go watch with your friends to have a genuine big screen experience.

Humshakals:



The only Bollywood film running in the cinemas, Humshkalas has a star studded cast with Saif Ali Khan in a comic role after a long time.  Though much is not expected out of Sajid Khan’s style comedy films but this is the only family entertainer running in cinemas right now.

Laakhon mein Teen:



This is the one big production that is usually playing at The Arts Council. Despite the occasional unrest, the play has been receiving packed houses and runs till the 22nd of June. Watch it with your family for a good laugh and two hours of complete escape from daily acitivities.

Tamanna:



The Pakistani film starring Salman Shahid, Mehreen Raheal and Umair Rana has not received as many slots on the multiplexes but is still receiving a decent amount of shows. Though you’ll have to work around your schedule to get to the cinema on the few slots that it’s playing on but still it will be a great experience to see Pakistani actors in this Noir film.
