Anti-encroachment drive: Encroachments at Malir 15 removed

KARACHI: The encroachments at Malir 15 were removed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) in a bid to gear up development work of the under-construction flyover. According to a statement issued on Tuesday, administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui directed the relevant authorities to expedite the construction of the Malir 15 flyover and to remove illegal settlements in the area. The KMC anti-encroachment staff, led by anti-encroachments director Mazhar Khan, conducted an operation at the site and cleaned the area from Malir 15 to Azeempura of hand-carts, cabins and vendors.
