KARACHI: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has said that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) had imposed additional taxes on the CNG sector in the provincial budget that would increase the cost of fuel and discourage investors.  The government has slapped taxes of up to Rs15,000 on owners of CNG stations and petrol pumps while another Rs5,000 per year has been imposed for using generators during the electricity load-shedding which is discrimination, said APCNGA Central Chairman Pervaiz Khan Khattak.  He said this while speaking at an a meeting of the association’s executive body. Khattak said that the K-P government had discouraged the business community of the province, which was providing jobs in extremely difficult circumstances while no other province had slapped any new taxes on the weak CNG sector.
