FAISALABAD: A bride-to-be was shot dead by her former fiancé on Sunday. Lundianwala police said Abdul Mustafa, a resident of Chak 147-GB, had arranged his daughter’s marriage with her cousin Irfan. They said her former fiancé Ghulam Mustafa, son of Shah Nawaz, shot and killed her. Naveed Akhtar, an uncle of the deceased, told newsmen that the girl had been engaged to Ghulam Mustafa. He said her father later broke off the engagement and arranged her marriage with Irfan. He said Mustafa took the refusal as an insult and had threatened the family. He said on the day the nikkah was scheduled, Mustafa forcibly entered the girl’s house and shot her. He said the girl was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. Lundianwala station house officer (SHO) said a team had been formed to apprehend Mustafa. He said the body had been taken to the mortuary for autopsy.

A boy wanted to marry a girl, but the girl father rejected him and then decided to marry off this girl to another boy. Okay, I understand if this boy was angry. But if this case happened in other countries, then this boy would kill the girl father who made him angry, not the girl herself who actually innocent.
