ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to increase water supply to the federal capital from Simly Dam to overcome any possible water shortages during Ramazan. Supply will be increased to 39 million gallons of water per day. Meanwhile, to ensure water supply from tube-wells during load-shedding, generators would be installed.  At a meeting held on Thursday, the CDA chairman directed the officials to initiate repair and maintenance work of 12 tube-wells which are non-functional since long so that water supply could be restored. The CDA finance wing has already released funds for repair and maintenance of these tube wells, and these stations would be made functional within 15 days, said a official.
