Scholarships in archaeology: France to help Balochistan students

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has lauded the services of French government for exploring and preserving archaeological sites of Balochistan.

Talking to French Ambassador to Pakistan Phillipe Thiebaud on Wednesday, he said the provincial government will allocate 25% of funds for education in the upcoming budget.

The French ambassador said that France will provide PhD and MPhil scholarships in archaeology to students of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, a delegation of WHO headed by its representative Dr Nima Saeed Abid called on Balochistan CM.

In the meeting WHO representative apprised the CM about the activities of WHO carried out in health sector and lauded efforts of provincial government for eradication of polio.

Dr Malik said that Hepatitis was fast spreading in the province.
