KARACHI: Building on the success of “Lifestyle Exhibition in April 2012”, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is holding the second edition of the event in New Delhi.

The four-day exhibition is taking place at one of the largest venues in Delhi, Pragati Maidan, from September 11-14, 2014 with over 150 exhibitors from a vast array of Pakistani fashion, textiles, leather products, accessories, home textiles taking part, a TDAP press release said on Monday.

Keeping in view the huge response received from exhibitors, the TDAP has reserved two halls for the exhibition. All major brands of Pakistan are participating in the event.

The exhibition will showcase top quality textiles including high-end designer wear and lawn, fabrics, jewellery, furniture, leather, rice and engineering products.

On the sidelines of the main exhibition, business-to-business meetings and an art exhibition will be held.

In order to create awareness about the event, the TDAP is also holding a curtain-raiser ceremony in New Delhi, India on June 16 and 17. The ceremony will be attended by the top business community and media personnel. A seminar on “India-Pak Trade” will also be held.

TDAP chief executive and secretary will also hold meetings with representatives of different organisations to ensure the event’s success. A curtainraiser ceremony will be held at the office of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), which is providing support in organising this event.

Lifestyle Pakistan is an initiative of the TDAP to further build on the efforts of the governments of Pakistan and India to normalise trade ties between the two countries.

With a trade potential of billions of dollars between the two countries, the event will not only offer a unique opportunity to the trading community of India to interact with their Pakistani counterparts but also a first-hand opportunity for customers to feel and own the best quality products Pakistan has to offer.
