LAHORE:

Power loadshedding heavily affected major cities including Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta on Friday.

The prolonged power crisis  rendered thousands of daily wagers unemployed. Sukkur and areas adjacent to it faced a power shortfall of 820 megawatts with power cuts of up to 16 hours.

HESCO said urban areas under its jurisdiction faced 8 hours of power cuts while rural areas faced 12 hours of loadshedding.
