Fraud: Ex-minister held over bogus cheque

The SHO said they had raided a house in Lahore on Monday night and arrested Amanullah.

FAISALABAD: Police on Monday arrested a former provincial minister for allegedly issuing a bogus cheque. The Batala Colony station house officer (SHO) said Najibullah Khan, a resident of Fesco Colony, had filed a complaint against Amanullah Khan on May 2. Najibullah told police the former minster had borrowed Rs1 million from him. He said Amanullah had later handed him a cheque which was dishonoured by the bank. He had requested police to register a case against Amanullah. The SHO said they had raided a house in Lahore on Monday night and arrested Amanullah.
