Balochistan unrest: Rockets fired at security check post

Levies recovered the bullet-riddled body of a person from the Hoshab area of Turbat.

QUETTA: At least two bodies were recovered from different areas of Balochistan on Monday, while a checkpoint of the security forces was attacked in Barkhan and a gas pipeline was blown up in Dera Bugti. According to the details, Levies recovered the bullet-riddled body of a person from the Hoshab area of Turbat and shifted it to the district headquarters hospital. The deceased was identified as Nawaz, a shopkeeper and resident of Hoshab. In another incident, a drug addict was found dead in Quetta. Police have placed the body in the mortuary for identification. Separately, unidentified armed men blew up an eight inch diameter gas pipeline in Dera Bugti which suspended supply to the gas purification plant. In Barkhan district, unidentified men fired rockets at the check post of the security forces. According to sources in Barkhan, the security forces returned fire which forced the attackers to retreat.
