KARACHI: Illegal immigrants are a security risk and none of their children will be issued birth certificates, announced commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui. He restrained all revenue and municipal offices from issuing birth, domicile  and residence certificates to them. Presiding over a meeting to review their registration process on Friday, Siddiqui said that any certificate issued in violation of the law should be rescinded after scrutiny. The government will not allow any step or activity that risks the lives and property of the citizens and no compromises will be allowed. He emphasised that there should be close coordination between the Federal Investigation Agency and the National Database Registration Authority over illegal immigrants. The officials were informed that 298 illegal immigrants were registered while the registration of 314 has been renewed.
