Illegal mining: Embassy rescues citizens from jail

The court then sent them to judicial lockup till June 11.

NOWSHERA: Three Chinese citizens recently arrested in Jabai area of Nowshera for illegally excavating gold were released on Friday. Yan Gondi, Yili Dlon Gao and Yaoan Minzi were caught by officials of the mineral department when they were mining in the area. They were later handed over to Nizampur police, who produced them in the local court. The court then sent them to judicial lockup till June 11. On the request of the Chinese embassy they were produced in the court again and fined Rs100,000 each before being released.
