Nab clarifies: SSGC officials involved in irregularities
NAB does not want to engage into the matter any further at this stage as the case is sub judice, said spokesperson.
ISLAMABAD:
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has clarified a news report published in The Express Tribune on May 25 under the title “NAB charges against former SSGC heads questionable”. In a press release, the NAB spokesman said both the accused Zohair Siddiqui and Azeem Iqbal Siddiqui had been nominated in the Ogra case because they moved letters and notes with their own signatures for various illegalities. They were not nominated in their capacity as managing directors/ex-managing directors of Sui Southern Gas Company as mentioned in the report, he said. “NAB does not want to engage into the matter any further at this stage as the case is sub judice and will be presented in court by the prosecution in due course,” the spokesman said.
