Policy change: K-P receives technical education boost

Foreign consultants briefed local vocational experts about national vocational qualification framework (NVQF).

PESHAWAR: Technical Education and Vocational Training Agency (TEVTA) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chairman Nuaman Wazir said a comprehensive development policy would be evolved. He said that technical training and education would be carried out with the consultation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local industries, and other relevant stakeholders. He said this while addressing a workshop in Peshawar. Foreign consultants briefed local vocational experts about national vocational qualification framework (NVQF). The purpose of conducting regional consultation workshop is to gain feedback from provincial stakeholders for producing a comprehensive draft of NVQF related to purpose, structure and implementation of the framework. “Vocational and training education has to be made according to ground realities with the realisation of market demand,” said Wazir.
