Demanding ban: Civil society holds protest against Geo

The participants chant slogans against Geo and demand that the channel be banned.

SUKKUR: Civil Society Pakistan organised a demonstration in support of the former president Pervez Musharraf and the ISI in front of the Sukkur Press Club. The participants chanted slogans against Geo and demanded that the channel be banned. Speakers, including former MNA Madam Khurshid Afghan, Zafar Iqbal Arain and Shaikh Habib Nasir Qadri, condemned the allegations on ISI and the objectionable content aired by the channel.  Afghan said that Musharraf strengthened Pakistan. She demanded that the federal government stops its vengeful actions against him. She added that if the government did not withdraw fabricated cases against him, the whole nation will protest on the roads in support of Musharraf and the army.
