Police officials said that the deceased child was yet to be identified and that they were searching for the culprits.
Locals in Kasur have expressed grave concern over the proceedings given that similar incidents have taken place over the past few months. Last month, the bodies of two minor boys were found in a ditch outside the city. Both boys had been strangled and sexually assaulted.
“It is definitely the work of a serial killer on the loose and we are trying our best to catch the culprit,” said station house officer Sajid Warraich
Currently the police officials are trying to identify the body so that they can contact his family.
“The child was brutally tortured and the only way to identify the child is through his dental records,” Warraich said, adding that the medical team was trying to match the child’s records to any existing record in the district.
Locals have appealed to the district coordination officer and police to expand their search to catch the murderer as soon as possible.
