Nawaz meets Jaswant Singh

ISLAMABAD: PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Thursday urged political leadership of Pakistan and India to keep in view desires of people in resolving the outstanding issues.

He said this while talking to visiting Indian parliamentarian and former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh, who called on him at Punjab House in Islamabad.

Sharif felt that resumption of talks between Pakistan and India was imminent for lasting and durable peace in the region. He emphasized that scholars from both countries could play a positive role in resolving the political disputes.

Singh presented his book Jinnah, India, Partition, Independence to the PML-N Chief.
