Standardised Uniforms: Security guards must wear blue

Action will be taken against agencies operating without a licence from the home department.

KARACHI: The provincial home secretary, Dr Niaz Ali Abbasi, has directed all private security agencies to ensure that their security guards wear blue uniforms. The agencies must conform to the standard uniform colour within 15 days, otherwise strict action will be taken against the owners of the companies and their guards under Section 144. Dr Abbasi was addressing a delegation of the All Pakistan Security Association at his office on Thursday. He added that action will be taken against those security agencies that tendered ownership rights to other companies without prior approval from the home department. He also warned to take action against the agencies that were operating without a licence from the home department.
