Required Influx : IT progress urged

On the role of Intel in Pakistan, Siraj said, it is the tech leader in industry, catering to three distinct segments.

ISLAMABAD: Intel Pakistan country manager Naveed Siraj said development of information technology (IT) sector is required on an urgent basis and reduced taxes are necessary to facilitate progress and to create new avenues of opportunity in Pakistan. At the 2nd Annual Intel Mobility Roadshow on Thursday, Siraj briefed the media about Intel’s mobile solutions and features. He said there should be a greater focus on promoting women entrepreneurship that will encourage faster growth in the IT sector. Naveed said seminars also need to be conducted to increase awareness about IT. On the role of Intel in Pakistan, he said, it is the tech leader in the industry, catering to three distinct segments. Siraj added IT products have also experienced high growth, mainly due to affordability of products.
