Work Ethics: Fish vendor seeks case against cashier

Bux said police had not entertained his complaint.

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Faisal Town SHO on a petition filed by the owner of Sardar Machli, a fried fish vendor. Imran Nabi Bux was seeking a case against his cashier for allegedly embezzling sales proceeds.  Bux said Muhammad Naveed had embezzled Rs2 million. He also claimed that the cashier gambled and betted on cricket matches. Bux said Naveed had admitted to embezzling the money and given him a cheque for Rs300,000, which bounced. Bux said police had not entertained his complaint. He asked the court to direct the respondent to register a case against Naveed.
