KARACHI:

Chaman’s Afghan FC and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) played out a 1-1 draw in the second match of the inaugural International Fata Football Peace Cup, which is being played at the Qayyum Sports Complex in Peshawar.

Both teams played on attack from the start, with several chances being created but not capitalised on. However, in the 21st minute, Mohammad Atif’s defence-splitting pace gave former international Safiullah to score the opening goal of the match for K-P.

But the lead was short-lived as Afghan FC hit back just seven minutes later.

Abdus Samad scored the equaliser in the 28th minute, with the first-half ending in a 1-1 draw.

In the second interval, both sides were unable to breach each other’s defence and were left sharing the points after playing a drawn match.
