Simmons looks for more half tons

Mumbai Indians opener Lendl Simmons said he wants to score half-centuries for his team in all matches, as the visitors beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets late Tuesday.

West Indies player Simmons contributed 68 before being bowled out by Bhuvneshwar Kumar to help Mumbai successfully chase the 158-run target set by Hyderabad.

“I want to do my part for the team by giving a good start and scoring with a good strike-rate,” said Simmons.

“My main aim is to score a half-century in every game and get my team off to a flier at the top of the innings.”
