During his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Khamenei stressed on the fact that the relations between the two neighbourly countries were not related to third parties.
"There are hands at work that intend to cause differences between the two friendly and intimate Iranian and Pakistani nations through different methods, including stirring insecurity at the lengthy common borders, but we shouldn’t allow the big opportunity existing for the expansion of the relations between the two countries to be lost," said Iran’s Supreme leader.
Underlining the need to further enhance the ties between the two countries, Khamenei laid emphasis on the implementation of joint ventures, like and Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project and expressed the hope that good measures would be adopted on this ground during Sharif's tenure.
Emphasising on the independent nature of Tehran-Islamabad relations, he said that the two states shouldn’t wait for others' permission to enhance their ties.
"The US whose maliciousness is clear to all is among the governments which is attempting to create rift between Iran and Pakistan," said Khamenei.
The Iranian supreme leader also cautioned that there are some other governments as well that are creating rift between Iran and Pakistan, and the two countries should take good care not to be trapped by such states.

USA was responsible for creating Shia and Sunni sects?
The setting of the meeting seems rather ordinary with no extravagant paraphrenelia like expensive golden curtains, fresh flower vases and furniture etc. unlike our beloved rich begging-bowl wielding Pakistan; food for thought! (BTW pun intended, no pompous banquet hosted by Khomeini?
USA isn't kidnapping Iranian soldiers on the border, USA isn't threatening to close border, and USA hasn't threatened to invade Pakistan in order to retrieve soldiers or take revenge on hostage takers. Seems to me that Iran and Pakistan are doing an admirable job of sowing discord on their own.
very wisely pointed our by Iran supreme leader.
and what about u along with saudi arabia turning my country into a dirty sectarian mess
There is no need to criticise others; national interests of the two countries must determine their relationship with one another. Besides them being neighbours they have a common history and religion. This Prime Minister is following the cold leads which those before him had not prioritised. Good luck1

The giganticness of the Leader's headgear renders him completely supreme, as the picture makes clear. Plus, his words make it clear that Pakistan and Iran are definitely not blaming the US for their troubles, with the usual victim mentality.
**US sowing discord between Iran-Pakistan, says Ayatollah Khamenei Well, that's their specialty!
