LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Ichhra SHO on a petition seeking the registration of a case against two men and some unidentified people accused of abducting the petitioner’s wife from a shrine. Mehboob Ali said the two nominated suspects, Tariq and Rehman, were acquaintances. He said they had done some construction work for him. He said they used to visit his house often. Ali said on May 9, they called at his house and made a plan for their families to visit Shah Jamal’s shrine. When they arrived at the shrine, the men told him and his wife to offer prayers. Ali said he took their advice but after a while looked for his wife but couldn’t find her or the two men. He said he called on their phones but both mobile phones had been switched off.
