Unwelcome welcome: Expat woman looted

The police registered a case against the robbers but have failed to track down them yet.

Robbers snatched 4,000 pounds sterling and other valuables.

An expatriate woman was robbed in Mandra on Tuesday night.


Babar Iqbal approached the local police that he along with his sister and niece was travelling home after picking them from Benazir Bhutto Airport in his van when three persons in a white car intercepted them in a deserted place on GT Road and held them hostage.


They snatched 4,000 pounds sterling, a video camera, three tickets,
two passports and gold bangles and rings from his sister, cash and a mobile phone from him and sped away.


His sister, a British national, was visiting Pakistan to meet her family after three years.
The police registered a case against the robbers but have failed to track down them yet.
