Lost And Found: Motorway police return lost valuables

A report was received stating that a woman had lost her bag at the Sukheki Service Area during a short stopover.

ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) found and returned two lost bags, which contained jewellery, cash and other items, to their respective owners on Sunday night. According to the NHMP, a report was received stating that a woman had lost her bag at the Sukheki Service Area during a short stopover. The bag contained 131 grams of gold jewellery, Rs65,000 and some other valuables. The duty officer at Sukheki, Qasim Ali, immediately started a search of the area and succeeded in locating the bag. Later, NHMP officers handed over the bag to its owner. In another incident, a woman alerted the NHMP helpline from near the Islamabad Toll Plaza, that she had lost her bag near the Swabi interchange. The bag contained four credit cards, an American driver’s license, a US Social Security card, Rs13,000, $305, a diamond ring, a pair of gold earrings, a gold set and other valuables. NHMP patrol officers Rana Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmad found the bag and returned it to the woman.
