New institution: First-ever cadet college for police to be set up

Sindh IG Iqbal Mahmood directed the officials to speed up the documentation and other necessary formalities for the establishment of the first-ever Sindh Police Cadet College in the province.


At a meeting at the Central Police Office, it was agreed to build the first-ever police cadet college in the province on the 112 acres of Sindh Police land in Dadu district. The land is adjacent to the main Indus Highway with all civic amenities available at a distance of four to five kilometres from Dadu.


The meeting was attended by Finance DIG, Head Quarters DIG, all staff officers and retired air commodore and the Rashidabad Memorial Welfare Organisation executive director, Shabbir A Khan.


Khan attended the meeting on a request to extend assistance and practical guidance for the establishment of the college.


The proposed cadet college will have the capacity of 700 to 800 students from grade I to grade XII.
