Incomplete team: GCU PR Dept working on ad hoc basis

GCU registrar said a professional team would be appointed soon.

LAHORE: The Government College University’s (GCU) Public Relations (PR) Department has been working on an ad hoc basis for several years.

“The university has a post of public relations director lying vacant for several years,” a university official told The Express Tribune. He said an assistant director had been running the PR Department. “Vice Chancellor Khaleequr Rahman appointed the assistant director in his discretion but such decisions have to be ratified by the syndicate within 45 days. This has not been done.” GCU Registrar Dr Akhyar said the assistant public relations officer had been running the affairs in the absence of a director. He said a professional team would be appointed soon.
