According to Afridi, the purpose of the cordial meeting was to inquire about Musharraf’s ailing mother.
According to NDTV Sports, the all-rounder was quick to dispel any speculation about why he had chosen to visit the former president at a time when he is involved in several legal cases against him.
Afridi met Musharraf at his residence in Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
Earlier this year the all rounder visited Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and met with Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.

Kindly refrain from adding masala of politics to every hook n corner. From what i see is a commonality of traits among the two gentlemen i.e "AGGRESSIVENESS" and "WILL TO FIGHT".
@nadeem: This seems to be your personal reading of the situation with the masala added to it. The reality is probably a whole lot more benign.

and he has met Nawaz Shareef during elections and Imran Khan and many other prominent personalities in the country
Afridi may not be a dependable bat or polished player but he is a great politician, media hungry and establishment man.
