Critically acclaimed actor Boman Irani, who has earned his spurs in Bollywood through versatile roles in films such as 3 Idiots, will soon be sharing screen space with his son Kayoze Irani. Boman began his career in acting in 2001 with the film Everybody Says I’m Fine and Kayoze, with rom-com Student of the Year (2012).

The two have previously acted together in Youngistaan (2014), which bombed at the box office. This time, they will appear in Manish Jha’s upcoming comedy film The Legend of Michael Mishra, which also stars Arshad Warsi and Aditi Rao, according to bollywood.com.

Although Boman and Kayoze will not be playing father and son in the film, “both have full-fledged roles. The chemistry between them is always very good,” revealed Manish.

“When I was editing the film, I realised that it’s a case of perfect casting. There was never a dull moment on the sets,” he said. While Boman plays a character called Full Pant, Kayoze goes by the name of Half Pant.

On the question of casting the real-life father-son duo, Manish shared, “I couldn’t sleep the night before I was to give a script narration to Boman, but my apprehension disappeared once I met him. Despite being an established actor, he’s extremely down to earth.”

Jha also commended Kayoze for his acting skills. “I saw him in Student Of The Year (2012) and knew he fit the part and cast him without an audition,” he said.
