Play based on Shakespeare's works presented at NAPA
'Crown of Ashes' consists of scenes from five plays by legendary playwright

A play, titled Crown of Ashes, was staged at the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) on Friday evening, based on various scenes from five plays by the great playwright William Shakespeare.
The play, which was arranged and directed by Zarqa Naz, was presented at the Zia Mohiuddin Theater of NAPA.
The play first featured a scene from the famous play Hamlet. Then, as the story progressed, a scene from the play Macbeth was used. Similarly, gradually, along with the direction of the story, scenes from Richard III, Othello, and then Romeo and Juliet were used, and thus a beautiful story took shape in its own place.
Ahad Tauqeer, Aqsa Ayub, Hammad Khan, Iqra Ayub, Jahanzeb Naviwala, Rachna Kirplani, Samhan Ghazi, and Zulfiqar Ghauri won the hearts of the audience with their excellent acting. The audience highly appreciated this new approach of theatre.
