Bilateral Relations: PM’s UK visit focused on economic ties

PM would also focus on attracting investors during his visit to the UK.

ISLAMABAD: Foreign office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam has said that the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the United Kingdom was focused on promotion of economic ties, investment and energy projects in Pakistan. Talking to Radio Pakistan, she said the PM would also address an international conference and he would hold meetings with United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron in this regard. She said that Cameron had written a letter to Sharif in which he had aspired to enhance trade ties between the two countries. To a query, she said that Sharif would also meet with the Pakistani community in the UK and discuss various issues with them. Renowned analyst Kamran Bukhari also said that during the visit of the PM, the post-withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan would also be discussed. He said that the PM would also focus on attracting investors during his visit to the UK.
