SHABQADAR:

A lady health worker’s house was attacked in the early hours of Monday in Sro Kalay, Shabqadar, leaving four people injured. According to Shabqadar police official Kausar Khan, unidentified men attacked the house of Falaknaz.

His mother Dilshad, his brother Bilal and his wife Nazia, a polio health worker, were present when the men opened fire. Falaknaz returned fire, however, the culprits responded by lobbing a grenade at the house.

All the residents were injured and later shifted to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar where they are said to be stable. Falaknaz filed an FIR at the local police station against unidentified culprits.

The police official said even though Falaknaz has a personal enmity, he did not name any one in the report, and suggested the attackers could have been targeting Nazia who works at Ekka Ghund Hospital as a polio worker.
