Swift action: Police foils kidnapping attempt

Police arrests four alleged kidnappers in DI Khan.

DI KHAN: Police foiled a kidnapping attempt in DI Khan on Sunday and arrested four alleged kidnappers. According to an official at Yarak police station, the kidnappers had been wanted in several cases of murders, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes. The official added Saeed Nawaz, a resident of Abu Sumera village, was driving a car at Busha Bridge near Chashma Right Bank Canal when four armed men intercepted him and attempted to kidnap him. After receiving a complaint, the police took immediate action and managed to foil the attempt. They arrested the alleged kidnappers identified as Khalid, Riaz, Rifatullah and Moyeen. Police recovered Nawaz, a car and two pistols from the accused.
