Payment default: FESCO cuts power supply to nine govt departments

Affected departments include police, prisons, revenue, highways and buildings, the district government, among others.

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company on Saturday disconnected the electricity supply to nine government offices for defaulting on their power bills, a Fesco spokesman said.


They include police, prisons, the district government, revenue, highways and buildings, town municipal administrations and the Parks and Horticulture Agency, Tahir Sheikh said.

He said Police Department owed Rs6.89 million, the Prisons Department Rs2.68 million, the district government Rs2.11 million, the Revenue Department Rs4.54 million, the Communication and Works Department Rs2.21 million, the Jaranwala TMA Rs2.41 million, the Lyallpur TMA Rs3.57 million, the Iqbal Town TMA Rs1.9 million and the PHA Rs145,000.
