LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Badami Bagh station house officer by May 3 in a petition filed by a woman seeking a case against another woman for forging a nikah nama with her husband. Petitioner Salma Bibi said she had married Shahid Emmanuel in 2007 and they had been happily married since. She said Jameela Bibi liked her husband but he did not share her feelings. She said Jameela was jealous of her and had asked Emmanual to divorce her many times. She claimed Jameela then forged a nikah nama to blackmail him. She said the document contained her husband’s signatures but he had not signed those papers. She said she had approached the police station but officials did not entertain her. She asked the court to direct the SHO to register case against Jameela.
