PESHAWAR:

Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao asked the federal government on Friday to convene another all-parties conference to take political parties into confidence about its efforts for bringing peace to the country.

“There is a lot of confusion,” said Sherpao while speaking at a news conference at the party’s central secretariat Watan Kor. “The government must tell us what progress has been made regarding the peace talks.”

Speaking about the closure of the feeders, the QWP chief claimed it was a failure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government. He added that consumers who have been regularly paying their bills are also suffering as a result. Sherpao said K-P was producing the cheapest electricity from its hydel power units, and making its residents pay the fuel adjustment surcharge was unjustified.

On the occasion, a number of people from the PK-10 constituency announced joining QWP.
