Unidentified shooting: Former political worker shot dead

Unidentified men shot dead a former Pakistan Peoples Party worker on Thursday in Timber Market within the limits of Sakhi Pir police station. Shahid Qaimkhani, aged 40, sustained two gunshots in the chest and died on the spot.


According to his brother, Imran Qaimkhani, Shahid was sleeping at his friend’s home when two assailants broke in and killed him. A police spokesperson, Mazhar Shani, revealed that the former PPP worker was accused in at least 21 criminal cases at 10 different police stations in Hyderabad.

Shahid had earlier remained associated with both the PPP-Shaheed Bhutto and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement. Moreover, he was the eldest son of Umeed Ali Qaimkhani, who was killed in May 1990. The FIR of the incident has to be filed yet.
