Embarrassment: Shoe thrown at CM

Journalist throws shoe at Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore.

LAHORE:

A shoe was hurled at Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday at the inaugural session of the South Asia Labour Conference. It was thrown by online TV channel Awaz’s Lahore bureau chief Imdad Ali Sooher who chanted slogans for justice for journalist Hamid Mir. “No one has spoken against attacks on journalists. I threw my shoe to protest against those who do not speak against oppression,” he said.
