Gunned down: Two shot dead, one injured

HARIPUR: Two persons were shot dead and one injured in two incidents of firing in Haripur on Wednesday. The first murder was reported from Kangra Colony, where Kamil Shah and Yasmin Bibi allegedly shot dead Zahoor Ahmed. According to the police, Kamil, a brick kiln worker, had allegedly developed illicit relations with the wife of his coworker Zahoor. Kamil, accompanied by Yasmin, 24, opened fire at Zahoor and killed him on the spot. The second murder was reported by Kotnajibullah police. An Afghan refugee, identified as Wazeer Khan, was standing by the side of the road with his nephew Abdul Qayum in Sera-e-Gadai. Bacha Khan, another Afghan, came on a motorcycle and allegedly sprayed them with bullets. Wazeer was killed on the spot, while Qayum sustained injuries and was rushed to Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad in a critical condition.
