An anti-terrorism court on Saturday sent six alleged terrorists associated with Lashkar-i-Jhangvi to jail for an identification parade.


CIA police sought permission for an identification parade to establish evidence against the suspects.


The court said the parade should be conducted by April 25 and told the police to submit a report.


CCPO Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed in a press conference had claimed that the alleged terrorists had confessed to their involvement in more than 18 killings and murder attempts on high-profile personalities, including Ghulam Raza Jaffari, Syed Ali Hussain Qazalbash, Mubashar Hussain, Shamsur Rehman, Shakir Ali Rizvi, Dr Syed Ali Haider, Khurram Raza Qadri, Allama Nasir Abbas, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Raza Rumi, Abid Naqvi and Dr Saghir Asghar.


He said they had kidnapped a trader Suhaib Ahmad, and released him after receiving Rs20 million ransom from his family. Weapons were also seized from them.
