Death foretold: Prayer leader shot dead

Family registers case against some, saying they had an old enmity with him.

BAHAWALPUR: A prayer leader was shot dead on Thursday.

Police said Shakeelur Rehman, a prayer leader and a grocery store owner, was walking to his shop when three men shot him and fled. He was taken to a hospital where he died. Rehman’s family registered a case against Muhammad Shahbaz, Muhammad Irshad, Muhammad Arif and Muhammad Iqbal, saying they had an old enmity with him.
