Medical education: BDS results announced

A total 432 candidates from 10 affiliated dental colleges appeared in the exam, 335 passed and 94 failed.

LAHORE: Results of the Final Professional Bachelors of Dental Surgery annual examination 2013 were announced by the University of Health Sciences on Monday. A total 432 candidates from 10 affiliated dental colleges appeared in the exam, 335 passed and 94 failed.

The results of three candidates have been witheld. The overall pass percentage was 78.09 per cent. Ahmad Shoaib of the Lahore Medical and Dental College secured first position with 639 of 800 marks.

Nayha Enver of Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore, stood second with 635 marks and Maryam Ahmed of Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan, secured third position with 627 marks. Candidates who failed the exam are allowed submit their admission forms on or before May 9.

The BDS supplementary examinations will commence on May 26.
