Aisam, Bopanna enter St Petersburg Open semis

Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna enter the semis after defeating the Serbian of Tipsaveric and Troicki.

Aisamul Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna entered the semi-finals of the St Petersburg Open after erasing their one-set deficit against the Serbian pair Janko Tipsaveric and Viktor Troicki on Thursday.

The Indo-Pak Express managed a 3-6 7-6(4) 10-3 win over their rivals in the quarter-finals of the ATP World Championships.

Qureshi and Bopanna had earlier defeated the team of Russian Mikhail Youzhny and Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky in their first round match in the event.

The pair will now face their third seed Filip Polasek and Igor Zelenay of Slovakia in the semi-finals.
