LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Shaukat Basra has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, stating that the Punjab had made false claims that new records had been set and would be acknowledged in the Guinness Book of World Records during the Punjab Youth Festival.
Basra said this had damaged Pakistan’s reputation across the world. He said the national exchequer had also suffered. Basra alleged that contrary to the government’s claims, there was no contract between the administration of the Guinness Book of World Records and the government.
He said no GBWR representative had witnessed the activities. He asked the court to direct the government to provide records of the spending on festival activities.
He also asked the court to stop the festival until the petition had been disposed of.

No wonder that this useless allegation has not found many takers and the only one crying over it day in day out is ARY News......and we all know why.

The editorial team ought to conduct better due diligence before a news is put up. Shaukat Basra is no longer an MPA having lost the elections last year. Something so trivial can easily be found here http://www.pap.gov.pk/index.php/members/byparty/en/20/22
As expected! Shining pakistan*
