Targeted attack?: Taxi driver gunned down in Kurram

Three people were trying to bury the body when an official of the political administration spotted them.

PARACHINAR: The body of a taxi driver was found when unidentified men were trying to bury him in Ghuz Garhi area of Kurram Agency on Thursday. An official of the political administration said Muhammad Karam Turi, a resident of Jalandar, was a taxi driver. He said unidentified men boarded his taxi from Parachinar and asked to be taken to Ghuz Garhi, an area near the Pak-Afghan border. Upon reaching their destination, the men killed him and took his vehicle. Three people were trying to bury the body when an official of the political administration spotted them and called khasadars to the site. The official added the accused managed to escape but four tribesmen from the area were arrested under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation. The body was taken to Turi’s hometown for the burial.
